The beautiful German Lutheran Trinity Church in East Melbourne is now running off solar.
After a long 18 months, which included a huge effort to gain approval from Heritage Victoria, the beautiful German Lutheran Trinity Church in East Melbourne is now running off solar. A lot of work went into the design to ensure the panels were nicely arranged, and it looks fantastic. The spectacular looking panels are premium Jinko 390W Tiger Pro’s which come with a 25 year warranty.
We recommended a 16.38 kW Enphase Microinverter-based system for the church to help manage the shading experienced at different times of the day. The interior was coated in MIG heat-reflective coating to keep the building cool, which will help the panels to perform at their best.
We’re expecting that within the next five to six years, the church will have recouped the installation costs through the savings on energy bills - which were around $6,500 yearly. The church is now considering a battery installation, and we’re looking forward to working with them on this next exciting step.
